i really only listened to hip hop for about 2 years before i started making it some 22 or 23 years ago. making new shit out of other shit that i liked. even when i wasn't producing i was listening to a lot of "other shit".
when i tell you i don't care for your little trap beats with all your little notes and chords that you composed over your bangin 808s i really mean that shit. some of it is aite but most of it is whatever. the emcee has to really be on something for me to want to listen to that lane. its rarely the beat that has me trippin. yall just do what you do and stay out of the way with it but i can't move like that. i've always produced like i have "i'm the star syndrome". my shit can stand alone without an emcee. i don't need those muthafuckas.
i listen to rock, metal, punk, soul, reggae or whatever i'm in the mood for. lamestream modern commerical rap sucks all of my dick.
